About Me
My name is Jess Coveley and I am a Pilates Instructor and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience. I have worked with hundreds of individuals and taught thousands of hours of Pilates and feel that I have really found a great way to help people feel better and become healthier both physically and mentally. I have developed my own Jess Coveley Pilates method that I want to share with as many people as possible in a practical, safe and cost-effective way.
I found Pilates over 16 years ago whilst I was pregnant with my first child and suffering with debilitating pelvic and low back pain. It was a huge part of my post-natal rehabilitation and the huge benefits I gained from it I wanted to share with others. As a result of this I went on to train as an instructor alongside my Physiotherapy degree and I have never looked back. Pilates changed my body from the inside out and I feel that now in my 40s I look and feel the best I have ever felt. I am particularly passionate about helping women at times in their life that can be a challenge physically and mentally. These include vast experience with women after surgery and treatment for breast cancer, pregnancy issues such as pubic pain, diastasis recti and pelvis floor dysfunction, and women before, during and after menopause. Maintaining a strong core and keeping muscle healthy is so important for bone health and longevity as we age.
I truly believe that Pilates is for everyone, from the elite athlete to the octogenarian. My years of face to face experience allows me to predict the issues that many people experience and deliver the classes that will help reduce pain, prevent injuries, improve posture and enhance performance at other disciplines or sports. Alongside my On-Demand online Pilates service I continue to work in person with small group classes, one to ones both Pilates and physiotherapy and larger zoom classes.
I favour a holistic approach to all areas of my work and life. I am fascinated by the power of Pilates and Nutritional Therapy and this is why I furthered my knowledge and trained to become a nutritionist. I use all my skills to help educate, empower and enable people to reach optimum health and live a full, fantastic, pain-free life.
